Trackers

Build habits, monitor wellness, and stay consistent — all integrated into your daily timeline.

What Are Trackers?

Trackers let you monitor recurring activities and habits over time. Whether it's exercise, hydration, reading, meditation, or any custom goal — Trackers give you a lightweight way to log progress and build streaks.

They appear as a compact section on your home page and are accessible from the main navigation. Habit Trackers are Dayze's built-in check-in apps; for the broader Life OS app shelf (partners + soon create-your-own), see Dayze Apps.

Creating a Tracker

To create a tracker, you need:

  • Name — What you're tracking (e.g. "Gym", "Read 30 min", "Drink 8 glasses")
  • Frequency — Daily, weekly, or custom days
  • Type — Boolean (did / didn't), count (numeric), or duration
  • Icon / Color — Visual customization for the home widget

Logging Entries

👆

One-Tap Log

Tap the tracker on your home page to log today's entry instantly.

Via Dayze Agent

Say 'I went to the gym' or 'Log 8 glasses of water' and Dayze Agent updates the tracker.

📅

Backfill

Forgot to log yesterday? Tap into the tracker to add entries for past days.

📊

Numeric Tracking

For count-based trackers, enter a number (e.g. pages read, km run, glasses of water).

Live counter (days, hours, minutes)

Sobriety and streak trackers show a live count from your start date and time(set under Starts when editing the event). Same evening counts as hours and minutes until a full day passes — e.g. 6:00 PM to 11:30 PM shows 0 days and about 5h 30m, not 15 hours.

Past streaks

After a reset, open Past streaks on the tracker card to see each completed run (length and end date) and which was your longest. The Best stat on the card is your all-time longest run.

Streaks

Consecutive days of completing a tracker build a streak. Your current streak and longest streak are displayed on the tracker card.

Streaks are a powerful motivator — break one and you start over at zero. Miss a day but log it the next morning? Backfill saves your streak.

Note: Streaks reset at midnight in your local timezone. Make sure your timezone is set correctly in Settings.

Home Page Widget

The Tracking section on your home page shows active counters (sobriety days, streaks, countdowns, and numeric goals):

  • Live counters — days, hours, minutes, and seconds update in real time
  • Check in — mark today on streak-style trackers
  • Menu actions — edit, share, reset, or stop tracking
  • View all — expand when you have more than the home preview

Public profile

Share progress on your Dayze link (dayze.com/your-handle):

  • Open the tracker menu on HomeMake Public
  • Visitors see a Tracking section on your profile with live day counts
  • Use Make Private anytime to hide a tracker again
Note: Public trackers use Dayze brand styling (red/pink accent). You can still pick custom colors when editing the event.

Morning briefing

If you enable Daily Briefing in Settings, Dayze emails you each morning with a personalized summary of your day. Active sobriety and streak trackers are included automatically:

  • Your streaks — day counts for each tracker in the email
  • Milestone days — congratulations on 1, 7, 30, 90, 365+ day marks
  • Warm tone — supportive language; no shame or preaching
Note: Briefings arrive around 5 AM in your local timezone. Turn them on or off anytime under Settings → Notifications.

Dayze Agent integration

Dayze Agent understands your trackers and can interact with them:

  • "Did I work out today?" — Dayze Agent checks your gym tracker
  • "Log my run — 5km" — Dayze Agent updates the running tracker
  • "How's my meditation streak?" — Dayze Agent reports your current and best streak
  • "What are my habits this week?" — Dayze Agent gives a weekly summary
  • "I drank today — reset my alcohol tracker" — Dayze Agent resets your sobriety counter from that moment (include time if you know it)
  • "Start tracking no alcohol" — Dayze Agent creates a new sobriety tracker on Home → Tracking
Note: For sobriety and streak trackers, a relapse message should reset the counter automatically. If the count on Home does not change, say the tracker name clearly (e.g. "No Alcohol") and the time you drank.

Analytics

Each tracker has a detail view with historical data:

📈

Completion Rate

Percentage of days completed over the last 7, 30, and 90 days.

🔥

Streak History

Current streak, longest streak, and total completions.

📅

Calendar Heatmap

Visual calendar showing which days you logged entries.

🧠

AI Insights

Dayze Agent correlates tracker data with your mood and energy scores.

Tip: Start with just 1-2 trackers. Adding too many at once makes it hard to maintain streaks. You can always add more once you've built consistency.
