Integrations

Connect apps and import data to enrich your timeline, Day Cards, and life story.

Integrations directory

Open Integrations in the sidebar or go to /integrations. The page is a browsable directory of every app Dayze can connect to — similar to an app store for your life data.

Browse & filter

  • Category tabs — All, Timeline, Social, Health, Finance, Enrichment
  • Status — All, Connected, Available
  • Search — filter by app name or what it does

Connect an app

  1. Tap an integration card in the grid
  2. Review what data flows to your timeline or Day Cards in the detail sheet
  3. Use Connect, Sync, Upload export, or the iOS app guide

Connected apps show a green Connected badge on their card. Legacy URL /settings/integrations redirects to the hub.

Connection types

🔗

OAuth

Google Calendar, Gmail, Spotify, Strava — connect in one click, sync on demand.

📤

Data export upload

Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Takeout — upload a .json export; events import to your timeline with duplicate detection.

📱

iOS native

Apple Calendar, Apple Health, Apple Music — grant permissions in the Dayze iOS app.

💹

Finance partners

Coincess, Tiger Brokers — create a Dayze API key (activity + networth), paste it in the partner app; Dayze marks Connected once data arrives.

Spotify

OAuth

Connect your Spotify account to see your recently played tracks on each Day Card — complete with album art, track name, artist, and when you listened.

How to connect:

  1. Go to Integrations in the sidebar
  2. Tap the Spotify card
  3. Click Connect Spotify in the detail sheet
  4. Authorize Dayze in the Spotify popup
  5. Your recent tracks will appear on Day Cards within minutes

Dayze requests read-only access to your recently played tracks. It cannot control playback, access your playlists, or modify your Spotify account.

Google Calendar

OAuth

Connect Google Calendar from Integrations — tap the card, then Connect Google Calendar. Use Sync in the detail sheet after connecting to import historical and upcoming events into your calendar and timeline.

When creating or editing an event, turn on Add to Google Calendar to push that event immediately (and optionally invite guests by email through Google). Off keeps the event in Dayze only.

Note: Calendar uses the same Google Cloud Web client as sign-in and Gmail. Register redirect URI https://dayze.com/api/calendar/google/callback, enable the Google Calendar API, and add Calendar scopes on the OAuth consent screen (Data Access).

Gmail

OAuth

Connect Gmail for two read-only uses: (1) Dayze Chat inbox tools — search unread mail, receipts, and confirmations via search_gmail / read_gmail_message; (2) travel and life-chapter signals — flight/hotel confirmations as suggested timeline events. After connecting, tap Sync now for timeline import, or ask Dayze in chat about your inbox.

Note: Gmail uses the same Google Cloud project as Calendar. The redirect URI /api/integrations/gmail/callback must be registered in Google Cloud Console with Gmail API scopes enabled. Scope is gmail.readonly — Dayze cannot send or delete mail.

Strava

OAuth

Connect Strava to import runs, rides, and workouts onto your timeline and Day Cards. Tap Sync now after connecting to pull recent activities.

Data exports (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Takeout)

Upload

Tap the app in the integrations grid, then Upload export with a .json file from your official data download. Dayze parses timeline items and writes them to your account — duplicates are skipped automatically.

  • Facebook — check-ins, posts with locations, life events
  • Instagram — geotagged posts and story metadata
  • LinkedIn — job changes and education dates
  • Google Takeout — calendar history, location timeline, photos metadata

Apple Health

iOS Only

On the iOS app, Dayze reads health data from Apple Health to display on Day Cards:

  • Steps — Daily step count with progress toward 10,000
  • Sleep — Sleep duration from the previous night
  • Heart rate — Resting heart rate
  • Calories — Active energy burned
  • Workouts — Type, duration, and distance

Health data is requested on first use. You can grant or revoke specific metrics in iOS Settings → Health → Dayze.

Apple Calendar

iOS Only

Calendar events from Apple Calendar are automatically synced into your Day Cards. Dayze:

  • Imports events from all your calendars
  • Filters duplicates by external ID
  • Shows event title, time, and location on the relevant Day Card
  • Syncs both past events (7 days back) and upcoming (14 days forward)

Apple Music

iOS Only

Listening history from the Dayze iOS app can appear on Day Cards, similar to Spotify on web. Grant Apple Music access in the mobile app.

iOS Shortcuts (Screen Time)

Manual Setup

Apple doesn't provide a standard API for Screen Time data. However, you can create an iOS Shortcut that sends your screen time data to Dayze daily.

What you can send:

  • Total screen time (minutes)
  • Social media time (minutes)
  • Top apps with usage time
  • Number of pickups
  • Number of notifications

This data powers the anti-doomscroll nudge feature, which compares your Dayze usage to your overall screen time.
