Dayze Finance is a personal finance hub built into your life dashboard. It's not a full banking app — it's designed to give you awareness of where your money goes, right alongside the rest of your day.
Access it at dayze.com/finance or from the Finance card on your home dashboard.

Adding Transactions
There are several ways to add transactions:
- Manual entry — Tap the + button on the finance page or home dashboard
- Contact ledger — On a person profile, Log money (or CLI
dayze people pay/receive) - Dayze Agent — Say "I spent $12 on lunch" and it creates the expense
- Receipt scan — Upload a receipt photo in chat and it extracts the details
- Quick Capture — Type a natural language description on any Day Card
Page layout
On /finance, the PnL calendar is followed immediately by the Transactions list, then cash flow, categories, budgets, and IOUs. Click any day on the PnL calendar to open that day's transactions (same interaction as /calendar).
/calendar opens the same transaction detail modal — type, people links, splits, events, and notes.Ask Dayze Agent
Dayze Agent answers finance totals from your ledger (not guesses). Examples:
- "How much did I spend this month?" — expense total for the current month
- "What's my revenue this year?" — cash income (excludes Avoided expense)
- "Revenue and expenses since last year November" — custom range with income, expenses, and net
- "Mark owes me $1000 for tickets" — creates a new IOU under Finance → IOUs & splits
- "Mark paid me back $200" — reduces an existing IOU balance
Editing & Deleting
Tap any transaction (list or PnL day) to open the shared detail modal — amount, category, type, description, date/time, people, splits, linked events — or delete it. The same modal is used on /calendar. Changes refresh finance widgets via SWR / expense-updated.
Budgets
Set monthly budgets for any spending category. The budget tracker shows:
- How much you've spent vs. your limit
- A progress bar that turns red when you're over budget
- Per-category breakdown so you can adjust individual areas
Currencies
Dayze supports multiple currencies. Set your default currency in your profile settings. Individual transactions can use different currencies — useful for travel.
