Jean-Luc Brunel

Jean-Luc Brunel was a French modeling agent and founder of MC2 Model Management in Miami. He was a longtime associate of Jeffrey Epstein and was accused by multiple women of sexual assault and procuring underage girls for Epstein through his modeling agencies. Brunel operated modeling agencies in Paris and Miami, using his access to aspiring young models as a pipeline. He was named in Virginia Giuffre's lawsuit as someone Epstein directed her to have sexual encounters with. In December 2020, French authorities arrested Brunel at Charles de Gaulle Airport as he attempted to board a flight to Dakar, Senegal. He was charged with rape of minors, sexual harassment, and human trafficking. He was found dead in his cell at La Santé prison in Paris on February 19, 2022. French prosecutors ruled his death a suicide by hanging.

Brunel grew up in Paris and entered the modeling industry in the 1970s, founding Karin Models and later MC2 Model Management. He was known in fashion circles as a talent scout with connections across Europe, South America, and the United States.

A 1988 60 Minutes segment investigated Brunel for sexual misconduct with models, years before his association with Epstein became public. MC2 Model Management was partially funded by Jeffrey Epstein. He was on Interpol's wanted list before his arrest.

Little is known about Brunel's family. He was unmarried at the time of his death.
