David Boies

David Boies is one of America's most prominent trial lawyers and chairman of Boies Schiller Flexner. He represented Virginia Giuffre in her defamation lawsuit against Ghislaine Maxwell. Boies is known for high-profile cases including representing Al Gore in Bush v. Gore and leading the antitrust case against Microsoft. His involvement in the Epstein case added significant legal firepower to Giuffre's efforts. However, Boies also faced criticism for his separate representation of Harvey Weinstein's interests — he had hired private investigators to track Weinstein's accusers while simultaneously representing an Epstein victim, creating what critics called a conflict of interest.

Grew up in rural Illinois. Overcame dyslexia to attend Northwestern and Yale Law School.
