Tiësto

Tijs Michiel Verwest, known professionally as Tiësto, is a Dutch DJ and record producer. He was voted 'The Greatest DJ Of All Time' by Mix magazine in a 2010/2011 poll amongst fans. In 2013, he was voted by DJ Mag readers as the 'best DJ of the last 20 years'. He is also regarded as the 'Godfather of EDM' by many sources. In 2024, Tiësto announced a new album, signifying a return to his trance roots, and released the first single 'Bring Me To Life'.

Tijs Michiel Verwest, born in Breda, Netherlands on January 17, 1969, began his career as a DJ in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Before achieving global fame, he performed at local parties and clubs, gradually building his reputation within the Dutch electronic music scene. He also released music under various aliases before finding widespread success as Tiësto.
