Stjepan Hauser

Stjepan Hauser is a Croatian cellist who achieved global fame as one half of 2Cellos alongside Luka Šulić. Born into a musical family in Pula, Croatia, he studied at prestigious institutions in England and the United States, training under Ralph Kirshbaum and Bernard Greenhouse. Before his mainstream breakthrough, Hauser won numerous classical competitions including the Tunbridge Wells International Young Concert Artists Award. In 2011, he and Šulić uploaded a cello cover of Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal to YouTube, which went viral and earned them a deal with Sony Masterworks. 2Cellos went on to sell millions of records and tour the world. Since the duo's farewell tour in 2023, Hauser has pursued a successful solo career, touring with sopranos including Amy Manford and performing at iconic venues worldwide.

Won numerous classical cello competitions and studied under renowned cellists Ralph Kirshbaum and Bernard Greenhouse before forming 2Cellos.

The 2Cellos YouTube video of Smooth Criminal has over 200 million views. He appeared on Game of Thrones performing the show's theme. His solo tours fill arenas worldwide.
