Steve Bannon

Stephen Kevin Bannon is an American media executive and political strategist who served as White House Chief Strategist under President Trump in 2017 and was executive chairman of Breitbart News. Bannon visited Jeffrey Epstein at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York multiple times in late 2018 and early 2019, in the months before Epstein's arrest on federal charges. The purpose of these visits has been debated — Bannon has said Epstein reached out to him and that they discussed various topics. Bannon was later convicted of contempt of Congress in 2022 and of fraud related to the "We Build the Wall" campaign.

Born in Norfolk, Virginia to a working-class Irish-Catholic family. Served in the Navy, attended Georgetown University and Harvard Business School, and worked at Goldman Sachs before entering media and politics.

Bannon visited Epstein in jail multiple times shortly before Epstein's 2019 rearrest. He served as White House Chief Strategist for seven months. He was convicted of contempt of Congress and sentenced to prison.
