Trivia

Scholl's initial involvement with the Hitler Youth was typical for her age, but she soon became disillusioned with its ideology. The White Rose leaflets were smuggled out of Germany and air-dropped over the country by Allied forces after her death. Numerous institutions, including schools and streets, have been named in honor of Sophie and Hans Scholl. Her story has been the subject of several films, most notably the Oscar-nominated 'Sophie Scholl – The Final Days'.
