Les Wexner

Leslie Herbert Wexner is an American billionaire businessman who founded L Brands, the parent company of Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Works, and other retail chains. He was Jeffrey Epstein's most significant known financial client and patron, reportedly the only publicly identified client of Epstein's money management firm. Wexner granted Epstein sweeping power of attorney over his finances and personal affairs in 1991, an arrangement that lasted until 2007. Epstein managed hundreds of millions of dollars for Wexner and was closely embedded in his business operations. Wexner's Manhattan townhouse at 9 East 71st Street — one of the largest private residences in New York City — was transferred to Epstein, reportedly for $0, in 1996. Wexner has stated he severed ties with Epstein in 2007 and alleged that Epstein misappropriated over $46 million of his money. In 2019, Wexner said he was "embarrassed" by the association. He has not been charged with any crimes.

Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio to Russian-Jewish immigrant parents Harry and Bella Wexner. His father owned a small clothing store. Wexner earned a degree in business administration from Ohio State University in 1959 and briefly attended law school before dropping out to open a women's clothing store, The Limited, in 1963 in Columbus, Ohio.

Wexner was the longest-serving CEO of a Fortune 500 company when he stepped down from L Brands in 2020. His transfer of the 9 East 71st Street townhouse to Epstein was one of the most scrutinized real estate transactions in the scandal. Victoria's Secret models were allegedly recruited into Epstein's network through connections facilitated by the Epstein-Wexner relationship. Wexner hired Epstein after a recommendation, reportedly from insurance executive Robert Meister.

Married Abigail Koppel in 1993. They have four children. The Wexner family is one of the most prominent philanthropic families in Ohio, donating extensively to Ohio State University, Jewish causes, and the Wexner Center for the Arts.
