About

Bruce Lee founded Jeet Kune Do, a hybrid martial arts philosophy drawing from different combat disciplines. He starred in iconic films including "Enter the Dragon," "Fist of Fury," and "The Way of the Dragon." His philosophy of martial arts extended beyond fighting to personal development and self-expression.

Before Fame

Born in San Francisco's Chinatown while his parents were on tour with the Cantonese Opera Company. He appeared in his first film at 3 months old. As a teenager in Hong Kong, he got into street fights, prompting his parents to send him to the United States.

Trivia

He could perform one-finger push-ups and two-finger push-ups using only his thumb and index finger. His famous one-inch punch could knock opponents several feet backward. He was also a cha-cha dance champion in Hong Kong.

Family Life

He married Linda Emery in 1964 and had two children: Brandon Lee (who also became an actor and tragically died during filming) and Shannon Lee. His son Brandon died in 1993 from an accidental shooting on the set of "The Crow."
